A message from Jack Dangermond

Greetings from Redlands, California, and it is my pleasure to welcome you to the AGILE 2021 Virtual Conference!

Congratulations to the local organizers at Technical University of Crete, the Scientific Programme Committee, all of the conference presenters, and the AGILE Council, for your efforts to bring together a large and active community of GI Science researchers from Europe and beyond.

Since the founding of the Association of Geographic Information Laboratories in Europe (AGILE) Esri has been an associate member and a principal sponsor of the annual conference. Members of our Education team have taken part in all of the AGILE conferences and it is truly valuable for our company to both learn from your work and share with you what we’ve been working on. Esri’s commitment to working with and supporting the academic community has been a part of our DNA since Laura and I founded Esri in 1969.

So I wish you all a productive and successful conference, I thank you for your good work in GI Science, I hope you are keeping safe during the pandemic, and I leave you with a few links to further information.
